Lowell Bats Silenced by García Friday, July 11th , 2025 It was not a good day at the plate for the Lowell Spinners. They came up empty when it mattered against Staten Island Yankees right-hander Xavier García, who scattered 9 hits across 9 innings and held the Spinners scoreless. "We had 9 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Lowell manager Tony Castillo said later. García chalked up 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 2-0 Yankees win.
