Ross's 20-Game Hitting Streak Ends Thursday, August 10th , 2023 Aberdeen center fielder Reginald Ross experienced something against the Auburn Doubledays he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Doubledays pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 20 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Ironbirds to a 2-1 victory at Falcon Park. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 20-game hitting streak," Ross joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." This season Ross is batting .261 with 40 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 18 times and has 14 runs batted in. |
