3 Roundtrippers for Chin Monday, June 12th , 2023 Dou-wan Chin went on an explosive hitting spree against the Staten Island Yankees at Edward A. LeLacheur Park today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Lowell Spinners to the 10-5 win. The left fielder finished 3-for-3 with 4 runs scored and 7 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Chin said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Staten Island skipper David Ortiz said Chin was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Dou-wan Chin hit a two-run home run off José Delgado in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off José Delgado in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Juan Trejo in the 8th. Chin is batting at a .377 pace this season, picking up 23 hits in 61 at-bats with 6 home runs, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored. |
