Corpus Christi's Burkett TEX's Best Monday, July 27th , 2026 It was an extraordinary week for Josh Burkett of the Corpus Christi Hooks. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .591, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Texas League. Last week Burkett went 13-for-22, racked up 4 home runs and 13 RBIs and scored 11 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Corpus Christi first baseman. Burkett currently has a .320 batting average with 83 hits, 15 homers, 55 RBIs, 44 runs scored and a .392 OBP. |
