Burkett Smacks 3 Out of the Park Saturday, July 25th , 2026 Corpus Christi Hooks first baseman Josh Burkett left the Frisco pitching staff in ruins at Whataburger Field, beating the RoughRiders, 19-2, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Burkett told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Corpus Christi first baseman had 5 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 8 and scored 5 runs. Josh Burkett singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Augusto González in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Bernardo Navarro in the 6th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Víctor Guerra in the 6th.
