Ortega Selected Top Performer in SL Monday, August 18th , 2025 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that Pensacola's Arturo Ortega put up last week were the envy of the league, as Ortega came away with Southern League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 10 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs last week as he posted his .476 batting average. This year, Ortega has collected a .279 batting average to date with 53 hits in 190 at-bats, 38 RBIs, 10 home runs and scored 38 times. He has played in 50 games. |
