They came up empty when it mattered against Tennessee Smokies left-hander Ken Wilkinson, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the BayBears scoreless. "We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Mobile manager said later. Wilkinson chalked up 12 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 4-0 Smokies win.
