Gustafson Joins 3-HR Club Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 Ian Gustafson went on an explosive hitting spree against the Mobile BayBears at Hank Aaron Stadium, launching a trio of blasts to help the Montgomery Biscuits win, 9-5. The second baseman finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 5 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Gustafson said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Mobile skipper said Gustafson was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Ian Gustafson hit a solo-shot off Raúl Lópes in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Raúl Lópes in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tomás Hernández in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. So far this season, Gustafson is batting .277 with 9 home runs. |
