Castillo Selected IL Player of the Week Monday, August 15th , 2022 At the age of 28, Elio Castillo might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Louisville third baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .571 batting average. For his efforts Castillo collected the International League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 home run and 11 RBIs last week in 6 games. In 25 games this season Castillo is batting .326 with 31 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 19. |
