League Punishes Pair for Fighting Friday, August 12th , 2022 After an intense confrontation, both the Bisons Ed Clark and the Knights Jefferson Olacio were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Buffalo-Charlotte game. Ed Clark will miss 3 games, while Jefferson Olacio was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Ed Clark commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Clark is batting .181 this year with no home runs, 3 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 13 hits in 72 at-bats. This year Olacio has registered 1 save in 31 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 4-3 won-lost mark with a 3.80 ERA. In 73.1 innings he has fanned 53. |
