Clippers Brantley and Bats Merkel Suspended for Fight Wednesday, June 22nd , 2022 Michael Brantley of Columbus and Doug Merkel of Louisville were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Brantley will have to miss 3 games for his part in the brawl, while Merkel was given 7 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This season Brantley is batting .228 with 2 home runs. He has scored 12 runs and driven in 13. |
