New York third baseman David Carrasco contributed significantly to his team's 10-5 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Carrasco, who finished 5th in the AL in extra base hits with 59 last year, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Yankees. New York, now 10-16, is off to a slow start.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Carrasco hit a solo home run off Lazaro Leyva. It propelled the Yankees into the lead, 4-3.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Carrasco.
