The Detroit Tigers downed the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-1, at Comerica Tigers Park. The Tigers were led by António Peña. Peña came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters. Anthony Ranaudo earned the save for Detroit, his 2nd. Losses have been few and far between for the Brewers, now 19-5.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Peña was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Milwaukee trailing 3-1, Peña retired Jim Smith, who flied out.
