Not everyone stuck through the 70-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Chicago Cubs defeated the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-0, at Wrigley Field. Chicago left fielder Miguel Angel López had a superb performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss drops Philadelphia to 13-10.

With Chicago leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, López hit a forkball from Luis Miguel Rivera for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 4-0.

López told a Chicago Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
