The Pittsburgh Pirates topped the Colorado Rockies, 7-2, in National League action at PNC Park. The standout performance belonged to Pittsburgh pitcher and Barstow, California, native Aaron Sanchez. Sanchez, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. The Rockies, now 6-16, continue their inauspicious start.
