The New York Mets wasted an impressive 6.2-inning effort from starter Braden Shipley, falling, 2-1, to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Los Angeles is flying high at 13-3.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Los Angeles. That's when Don Jones hit a run-scoring double off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Jesús García to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
