Blake Snell, who led the AL in wins with 17 in 2022, had a strong outing for the Houston Astros against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. The victory makes Houston 4-6.

The Astros got a big at-bat from left fielder Devin Jones. For the game, Jones went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. In the top of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Houston a 1-0 lead.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Jones said after the game.
