The Tulsa Drillers downed the Arkansas Travelers, 11-2. The hitting star was second baseman Hugh Thomas. Thomas went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Drillers. Tulsa pitcher Ricardo Rodriguez got the win, upping his record to 9-5. José Martínez got the loss. The first-place Drillers have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

With one out in the top of the sixth, Ismael Peña had a chance to do some damage. Arkansas was trailing 7-1, but had the bases loaded. Peña came to the plate against Ricardo Rodriguez, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Arkansas comeback.
