The Frisco RoughRiders picked up a win at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, downing the Corpus Christi Hooks, 4-1. On the mound for Frisco was right-hander Willie Miller, who played a pivotal role in the win. Frisco raised its record to 63-63 with the win.

Joe Howgill had a big 2-run double for the RoughRiders in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Frisco leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Wes Carter, who is tied for 9th in the TEX with a 8.5 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to center. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the RoughRiders ahead, 3-0.
