The Tulsa Drillers claimed a close win over the Arkansas Travelers, due in large part to Ed Reeves. The Tulsa left-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Tulsa improves to 68-40 with the win. They lead their division by 9½ games.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Drillers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when center fielder Tony Browning hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Mike Fry and made the score 2-1, Drillers. Browning went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Browning told the Tulsa Daily.
