The Frisco RoughRiders defeated the Midland RockHounds, 10-7. Center Fielder Art Rose deserved a large share of the credit. Rose went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for the RoughRiders. The save went to Robby Smith, his 18th this season. With the victory, the RoughRiders upped their record to 51-50.

Frisco needed the clutch hitting of Tony Martínez to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the RoughRiders on top, 10-7. For the game, Martínez had 1 home run and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Rose.
