Missions 6-4 Winners Versus Midland
|
Sancho Rosário helped his team muscle past the Midland RockHounds, 6-4. In the game, the San Antonio left fielder was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Jeurys Familia picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-0 on the season. He struck out 3 and walked 1 in 6 innings, while yielding 1 run. Domynguos Venegas closed it out for San Antonio, earning his 16th save.
With San Antonio leading 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Rosário came up to bat against Midland pitcher Víctor Franco. Rosário hit a changeup to left-center for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Missions on top, 6-0.
"It's fun coming to the ballpark," said Rosário, "when you're on this kind of roll."
