The Frisco RoughRiders withstood an impressive performance by San Antonio right fielder Darrel Nijland to defeat the Missions, 7-3, at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Nijland hit 2 home runs. Yat-sen Guao got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 6.2 innings. The Missions, now 22-38, have lost 4 straight.

Frisco second baseman Bobby Schultz contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the RoughRiders ahead, 2-1.
