The Arkansas Travelers topped the Midland RockHounds, 9-1, in Texas League action at Security Bank Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Arkansas pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Robby Ford. The triumph puts Arkansas at 34-20 for the season.

Octávio Padilla had a big 2-run double for the Travelers in the top of the fourth inning. With Arkansas leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Raúl Fonseca and swatted a double to left. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Travelers ahead, 4-0.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Ford.
