Corpus Christi used the timely hitting of Augusto Espinoza to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hooks on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Espinoza said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
