António Villanueva, who is tied for 8th in the TEX in strikeouts with 45, had a strong outing for the San Antonio Missions against the Frisco RoughRiders at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The win belonged to Pat Kaminska in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Robby Smith took the loss for Frisco. The Missions go to 17-25 with the win.
Edgardo Quintana was the walk-off hero for San Antonio. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Missions third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Villanueva. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
