Midland got a decent performance from pitcher Víctor Franco, but it wasn't enough to beat the San Antonio Missions. San Antonio won the Security Bank Ballpark contest, 3-2. Franco threw 8.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Picking up his 3rd save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Domynguos Venegas. The victory puts San Antonio at 13-21.

Jeremy Haley delivered a big hit for San Antonio. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Missions ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

In comments to the San Antonio Daily News, Haley admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
