The Arkansas Travelers polished off the Tulsa Drillers by the score of 8-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to second baseman Donnie Robinson. Robinson was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Travelers. Angelo Tanguy, now 6-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 4 innings. The Travelers bumped their record to 23-12 with this latest triumph.
In the bottom of the fourth, Claude Palma delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Arkansas third baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Travelers in front, 8-3.
