RockHounds Pitching Ravaged by Ratzlaff
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Curt Ratzlaff -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium and paced the 9-1 Missions win over the Midland RockHounds.

After his dynamite batting performance, the San Antonio first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Curt Ratzlaff hit a two-run home run off Tony López in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Tony López in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

This year, Ratzlaff is hitting .286, produced 12 RBIs and 4 home runs, scored 7 times and gotten on base at a .398 rate.
