Naturals Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The inspired effort of Arkansas catcher Nate Shaw was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Shaw was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Northwest Arkansas is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 7th win in 19 games.
The Naturals were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 24-year old shortstop José Rosales landed a big blow. He turned a full count changeup from Mike Wolf into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Arvest Ballpark denizens into a frenzy and sent the Naturals home with a thrilling 6-5 win.
"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Rosales.
