RoughRiders Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The Frisco RoughRiders picked up a win at Dr. Pepper Ballpark, taking down the Corpus Christi Hooks, 6-4. Starting pitcher José Jáquez was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Jáquez, now 1-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Corpus Christi is 7-10 after the loss.

Tony Martínez had a big 2-run triple for the RoughRiders in the bottom of the second inning. With Frisco leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a curveball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Bob Johnson and swatted a triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the RoughRiders ahead, 5-0.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Corpus Christi manager Evan Scribner.
