Travelers Topple Missions, 10-4, as MacIntosh Shines
|
The Arkansas Travelers cut down the San Antonio Missions by the score of 10-4, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Mike MacIntosh. MacIntosh was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Travelers. Angelo Tanguy came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. Augusto Sánchez was credited with the save for Arkansas, his 1st of the season.
Arkansas used a well-timed hit by Cisco Cruz to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Travelers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I like our moxie," said Travelers manager Mike Redmond.
The loss drops San Antonio to 3-5.
