Jackson got a valiant performance from pitcher Stu Brown, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mississippi Firebirds. Mississippi won the game, 6-4. Brown threw 8.0 innings allowing 1 run for the losing team. Mississippi has now won 9 in a row.

Joe Allison delivered a big hit for Mississippi. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 15th inning to put the Firebirds ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
