Clarence Ackerman, who is tied for 7th in the SL in extra base hits with 44, took Jackson hurler Steve Medina deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the BayBears on top, 2-0. In all, Ackerman had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
