Lookouts Pick Up 5-2 Win Against Pensacola
|
Chattanooga got a strong outing from José Romero as the Lookouts defeated the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 5-2, at AT&T Field. The winner was Romero. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Bruno Quinn. Picking up the save was Albert Ventura, his 2nd.
Dave Brewer had a big solo home run for the Lookouts in the bottom of the third inning. With Chattanooga leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Bruno Quinn, who leads the SL in quality starts with 19, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Lookouts on top, 2-0.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Chattanooga manager Mike Johns.
Chattanooga has won 3 straight, while Pensacola has lost 3 in a row.
