The Ballpark at Jackson was rocking after an exciting Generals win.

Jorge Sánchez added some punch to the Jackson offense, helping them outmuscle the Biloxi Shuckers, 12-11. In the game, Sánchez went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The win belonged to Lou Hill in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Cedric Young took the loss for Biloxi.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jim Kilmister in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Cedric Young to win the game for Jackson. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Generals manager Mark L. Johnson.

With the victory, the Generals upped their record to 70-59.
