Abrams Shuts Out Mississippi, 5-0
|
Pat Abrams was in a mood to talk following the Mobile BayBears contest against the Mississippi Firebirds, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Firebirds, 5-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Abrams said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Mississippi on a 2-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 4 strikeouts.
This season, Abrams has compiled a 9-7 mark with a 4.06 ERA.
