Slumping Smokies Lose 6th Straight
The Tennessee Smokies got a sterling performance from pitcher Ken Wilkinson, but the Mississippi Hammers still prevailed, 6-3. Wilkinson threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. Mississippi reliever José Jiménez was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-0. Bob Johnstone took the loss for Tennessee. The slumping Smokies have dropped 6 in a row.
