Martínez Silences Mobile Bats
Biloxi starter Xavier Martínez kept the Mobile offense from doing much damage. The left-hander leaned on his fastball in leading the Shuckers to a 5-0 win. Yes, it was a win for Biloxi; but their 32-61 record is still nothing to boast about.

Martínez, who was born in Boston, Massachusetts, delivered a quality start for Biloxi. The 6-foot-0 left-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 7.1 innings of work.

"I'd like to pile on a few more wins before the end of the year," said Martínez.
