Montgomery played host to Pensacola at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium.

The timely hitting of Steve Pruitt helped the Montgomery Biscuits down the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 11-4. Pruitt went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4 for the Biscuits. Sam Church was credited with the save, his 2nd in 2 tries.

With Montgomery leading 8-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Pruitt batted against Pensacola pitcher Chris Whitaker. Pruitt hit a forkball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Biscuits on top, 11-1.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Pruitt.

The Biscuits are now 38-52, while the Blue Wahoos fall to 54-36.
