Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Birmingham Barons got the win.
Birmingham Barons starter Ken Williams was on his game, helping his team beat the Montgomery Biscuits, 4-2. Getting the save was Jose A. Suarez, his 3rd.
Juan Ramos, who is tied for 7th in the SL in home runs with 9, took Montgomery hurler Greg Hendricks deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 3-run home run put the Barons on top, 4-2. In all, Ramos had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
