The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Mobile BayBears withstood an impressive performance by Montgomery first baseman Luis Martínez to defeat the Biscuits, 10-7, at Hank Aaron Stadium. Martínez was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win puts the BayBears at 25-30, while the Biscuits drop to 29-26.

The BayBears got a lift from first baseman River Stevens, who in the bottom of the sixth stroked a 1-2 fastball into right for a 2-run single. It was his 42nd hit of the season and put the BayBears ahead, 10-7.

"We'll try to build on that win," Stevens told the Mobile Daily.
