The Jackson Generals downed the Chattanooga Lookouts, 2-1, at The Ballpark at Jackson. Stellar pitching by Cam Rice had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is rated as the 29th best prospect by BNN, handcuffed his opponent all game. Randy Gordon closed it out for his 3rd save. With the victory, the Generals upped their record to 34-21.

Jackson took a 2-1 lead on Bill McKee's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which McKee hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chattanooga pitcher Dave Fleming visibly frustrated.

"We've got a great group of guys," Rice said, "and we're having fun right now."
