The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Biloxi Shuckers, 7-6. Third Baseman Brad Crosby deserved a large share of the credit. Crosby went 1-1 with 4 walks for the Biscuits. The winning pitcher was Ed Alexander. His record now stands at 3-4. The left-hander went 5 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits for the Biscuits. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Dan Collins.

In the top of the sixth, Montgomery first baseman Danny Phillips had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Phillips stroked a 2-run single to left-center. It made the score 7-4, Montgomery. For the game, he went 1-2 with a hit by pitch. He drove in 3 runs.
