The Montgomery Biscuits and Mississippi Firebirds provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Mississippi Firebirds faced a tough opponent in Montgomery pitcher Kevin Rafuse, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium by a final score of 5-4. Rafuse went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Al O'Bryan, 3-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings.

Making an impact for Mississippi was Rhett Clark. In the top of the tenth inning, the 25-year old shortstop had a run-scoring double to make the score 5-4, Firebirds.

"It was terrific getting this win," Clark said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."

The victory puts Mississippi at 18-30.
