Chattanooga and Pensacola duked it out and the Lookouts came out victorious.

Pensacola wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Micheal Johnston, falling to the Chattanooga Lookouts, 5-2. Johnston threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Lou Plummer earned the save for Chattanooga, his 12th.

Chattanooga used the timely hitting of Dan Jennings to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lookouts on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Jennings told the Chattanooga Gazette.

The setback makes Pensacola 30-18.
