Pensacola starter Doug Merkel pitched effectively against the Montgomery Biscuits at Five County Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. Ben Austin earned the save, his 3rd. After today's action, Pensacola sits at 19-21; Montgomery slips to 19-21.
