Shuckers Earn Clutch Win, 6-5
The Chattanooga Lookouts could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tim Edwards into a win. Instead, the Biloxi Shuckers prevailed, 6-5. Edwards threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Alan Howard snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Tim Hayes suffered the loss. The victory makes Biloxi 8-32.

Biloxi shortstop José Martínez produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Jake Cushingham on the mound and Biloxi leading 5-4. Martínez hit a sacrifice fly.

"Enjoyed this one," Martínez told the Biloxi Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
