The Jackson Generals beat the Montgomery Biscuits by a score of 9-5. Jackson catcher Sancho Colón deserved the lion's share of the credit. Colón went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Generals. Jackson raised its record to 23-15 with the win.

In the top of the sixth, Bobby White delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Jackson right fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Generals in front, 9-5.
