Suns Earn 5-1 Home Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Montgomery Biscuits and Jacksonville Suns get after it.
Chris Cantú brought his A-game to help Jacksonville defeat the Montgomery Biscuits, 5-1. Cantú, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. Lykaios Anastassiou collected save number 2.
The Suns got a big at-bat from first baseman Luis Suárez. For the game, Suárez was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 11th double of the season gave Jacksonville a 2-1 lead.
